Cruising Boat Racing Intro Party
Hey, all! Let's get together to talk about this season's cruising boat racing! We'll go over the schedule, rules (not many), courses, classes and so on! It's gonna be a blast this year!
Remember our organizing principal: No Boat, No Problem, No Crew, No Problem!

Lunch at Wallys!
It's been quite a while since we've gone to Wallys for lunch, so let's make it happen!
As you all know, there's a bunch of ways to get there: ferry and cab, center console, big boat and dinghy, helicopter and more! So there's no excuse for not showing up!
Remember, there's a new (relatively) dinghy dock between the Couch Inn Marina and Harbour View Marina, and you can tie up at the Couch Inn for a modest fee.

Tahiti Beach Mini Cruise
Let's take advantage of this glorious weather and head over to Tahiti Beach this coming Sunday, Jan 25! High tide on Sunday is at 12:38 PM so big boats and day boats should be fine.
I plan to take Jammin down at about 10:30 and anchor out for the night, coming back on Monday morning at about noon.
Small boats and dinghies can pull up on or anchor off the beach as per usual. And of course, a golf cart will get you most of the way there.
Given the short notice, bringing food to share won't be necessary, just bring whatever you'd like for your party. It appears that the Thirsty Cuda will be on station, so there's that option for food and drink.
Jammin will monitor both VHF 68 and 66 to facilitate communication: please do so as well. Look for the club flag on the beach!
Hope to see you all Sunday at noon. Let’s get on the water!

Let's Go to Nippers and Grabbers!
Hello Campers!
We need to keep taking advantage of this fabulous weather by sailing (or motoring) to Great Guana on Sunday and Monday, Feb 15 and 16, so we can patronize the fabulous Nippers and Grabbers.
Those of us with deep keel cruising boats can get out of Hope Town at about 9:00 on Sunday, getting to Fisher's Bay by around 12:00 pm. You power guys can zip over to meet us at Nipper's around 1:30 or 2:00.
After Nippers, we can enjoy sundowners at Grabbers with its unparalleled view of the Western horizon. You power guys can make it back before dark, and us tide dependent folks can spend the night on anchor. High tide on Monday is at 7:20 am, us depth challenged cruisers will have to make an early start to get in before 10 am (1.feet), or wait for the evening tide at about 6 pm.
Who's in? Register by clicking the button above or by emailing me (click the link).
One additional note: Jammin has room for one or two guests! A private stateroom is available complete with an ensuite head! So, if you don't have a ride and would like to attend, let me know!

Let's Have Wood-Fired Pizza at Lubber's Landing!
If you've never had the wood-fired pizza at Lubber's Landing, you are missing out! It's fabulous, so let's go get some!
Lubber's has a nice pier for those of you with center consoles, but it's too high for dinghies, so us dinghy guys have to beach our little boats. Those of you riding dinghies, be sure to wear reef shoes when coming ashore. The beach is rocky.

Mini Cruise to Lynyard Cay/Pete's Pub
Hey, campers! Let's anchor out at Lynyard Cay on Sunday, Mar 22, go to lunch at Pete's Pub (via dinghy for those of us that are draft challenged), and have a beach bonfire in the evening!
On Monday morning, Jammin will be headed to North Eleuthera, specifically Harbour Island, for a week or so. Any of ya'll who want to join us will be welcome!
Crusingly,
Cruise to Harbour Island, Eluethra
Hey, criuisers! Let's sail to Harbour Island!
Harbour Island has a great harbour for anchoring out and hosts the oldest town in the Bahamas, Dunmore Town, the former capital! As such, it features colonial architecture and charm, as well as a wide selection of restaurants and bars. The Atlantic-facing beach is renown for its pink sand (and it is shockingly pink!)
Access to Harbour Islands is guarded by the infamous Devil's Backbone, but not to worry! I've done it several times and I can share my track with you. If you have the track and an operable chart plotter, the Backbone is a piece of cake (as long as the weather cooperates).
