Welcome to the Hope Town Sailing Club

Nestled on the waterfront of the iconic Hope Town Harbor, Elbow Cay, Abaco, Bahamas, the Hope Town Sailing Club (HTSC) was founded in 1964 to promote sailing in Hope Town, and surrounding Abaco Cays. HTSC is a private Club licensed in the Bahamas.

The Club encourages temporary and permanent visitors and local Bahamians to join the club to participate and support racing and cruising in the community with a variety of activities for adults and juniors. The Club also schedules member social events and sponsors activities to support the Club's goals and the local community.

See the HTSC Public Racing and Cruising Event Listing and Calendar below.

Message from the Commodore 9/12/2021

The Hope Town Sailing Club Executive Committee has been working to set up the activity schedules for the upcoming season in Hope Town. We are offering a variety of fun social, cruise-in-company and racing events that are now scheduled on the Calendar - take a look and save the dates. Many in the group have contributed to the  event planning and updating of the website. We look forward to more fully utilizing the capabilities of the new website and club software this year.

Hope Town and the Abacos are making good progress toward rebuilding from Dorian two years ago in spite of the Covid roadblocks that still plague us all. The Club has supported the community in this effort by providing clubhouse use for emergency services, offering labor and financial support for various projects including Junior Sailing and the Abaco Rage, among many. As a result, Junior Sailing was able to have a successful Summer program and the Rage is set to resume her role as the fleet "bell cow" for the Club racing season. We should also see many of our iconic Abaco Dinghies back in action as well.

All boats are welcome to participate in Club races and Cruising activities and we are looking forward to a full harbour. Please see the calendar below for the HTSC Public Racing and Cruising Events.

Looking forward to seeing all, soon. Safe travels!
